Some time ago (good 14 years) a friend living in London showed me a box of coca tea. It surprised me to find this product so far away from Peru.
I had had a classmate in Peru who used to chew the coca leaves when the asthma attack came over her. She could breath easily while chewing the leaves. I knew that the coca was medicinal but I did not give it the attention to know more. I also knew the energetic properties as the Incas used and use the coca leave as an energetic when working very hard in their lands.
Meanwhile, in Peru the investigation of the natural products had started to produce in a more scientific way many good herbs, leaves, roots, stems, fruits etc. that being common use between the people as a popular medicine could benefit the country with their propagated internal use and exportation as an alternative to the regular medicine. Furthermore, these plants had been a real medicine for centuries. They only needed to be adapted to the 21st century.
Deep studies have added properly dosage proper mixes, and proper presentation as well. The Science has added the righteous system to the investigation and elaboration of the products. We need only to buy and consume them to fix simple problems like bad digestions, pains, inflammations, asthma, moods etc. But the coca for example does not only cure, it prevents and helps to maintain the good function of all our body.
My interest started when a friend got some coca tea for her daughter’s in law morning nausea when pregnant. I started reading some information. At the same time the production of derivates of the coca leave have taken off in Peru. There are teas, biscuits, sweets, energy bars etc and also many companies dedicated to the trade of coca.
A friend and I have decided to start this venture, knowing that the products we are offering are really good, that the mixes with other plants increase the medicinal power of all the ingredients in the tea. We hope that the public will accept and buy it, perhaps not as a medicine but as a preventive and good health enhancer.
